The Economy Policy Center addresses a variety of issues at the local, state, and national-level. Past projects include: Ways to prevent poverty, inequality, and other negative effects stemming from high unemployment among the poor in Los Angeles, a universal basic income system supplementing, rather than supplanting, existing welfare should be created. As a means of alleviating extreme wealth inequality and poverty rates, the minimum wage should regularly be regulated based on increases in the rate of inflation and living expenses. Trickle-Down economic theory suggests that reducing taxes on wealthy businesses and individuals will lead to an increase in business investments that will be beneficial to the society as a whole.
